Privacy and cookie policy
Notice: this policy is a reference template. Before final use it must be reviewed and validated by a qualified lawyer to confirm it complies with current Colombian law and your actual data processing.
1. Data controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data is Ramos Solutions S.A.S. (operating under the Ramos Labs brand), based in Bogotá, Colombia.
For any request related to your personal data you can contact us:
- Email: hola@ramoslabs.com
- WhatsApp: +57 322 224 9481
2. What data we collect and why
We collect two types of information:
- Browsing and usage data: pages visited, time on site, device, browser and similar data generated when you use analytics tools. This helps us understand how the site is used.
- Contact data you send us: name, email, phone and the message you write when you fill out the form or reach out via WhatsApp.
We use this data for the following purposes:
- Measure and improve the site (performance, content and experience).
- Handle your requests, answer questions and follow up commercially.
- Our own marketing: tell you about Ramos Labs services, news and content.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use first-party cookies (set by our own domain) and third-party cookies (set by analytics and advertising providers). The table below summarizes the ones we use:
| Provider | Cookies | Type and origin | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | _ga, _ga_KFPKY7FBWG |
Analytics · first-party | Measure visits and aggregate behavior on the site. | Up to ~13 months |
| Microsoft Clarity | _clck, _clsk plus third-party Microsoft and Bing cookies (domains *.clarity.ms) |
Behavioral analytics · first-party and third-party | Heatmaps and anonymous session recordings to understand usage. | Variable (from the session up to ~1 year) |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Uses no cookies | Cookieless analytics | Privacy-respecting traffic measurement that does not identify the user. | Not applicable |
| Meta Pixel (planned) | _fbp (first-party), fr (third-party, on facebook.com) |
Advertising · first-party and third-party | Measure campaigns and show relevant ads. Enabled only when we run ad campaigns. | Up to ~3 months |
You can manage or block cookies at any time from your browser settings, in addition to the options we offer in the cookie banner (see the consent section).
4. Legal basis and consent (Colombia)
The processing of your data is governed by Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (Colombian personal data protection regime, Habeas Data), and other applicable rules.
We apply a notice model with an opt-out option: analytics is on by default when you enter the site, and you can reject it at any time from the cookie banner. When you reject:
- Analytics is disabled (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).
- The associated analytics cookies are deleted.
You can also block or delete these cookies directly from your browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies and is privacy-respecting by design.
5. International data transfer
Some of our providers process data outside Colombia, mainly in the United States. This includes Google, Microsoft, Meta and Cloudflare. Each provider handles the information under its own privacy policies and security measures. By using the site, you understand that certain browsing data may be processed abroad by these third parties.
6. Data retention
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes described or while a relationship with you exists:
- Analytics data: according to the duration of each cookie shown in the table (for example, up to ~13 months in Google Analytics).
- Contact data: while we handle your request and for a reasonable period to follow up commercially or comply with legal obligations.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Data subject rights
As the data subject, you have the right to:
- Know what data of yours we process.
- Update and rectify inaccurate or outdated data.
- Delete your data where applicable.
- Revoke the authorization you have granted us.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hola@ramoslabs.com describing your request. We will handle it in accordance with the law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, in the providers we use or in the applicable law. When we do, we will update the date shown above. We recommend reviewing this page from time to time.
